Abstract

The subject of the article was ideas and postulates of family education, formulated in polish pedagogical literature. Presented histographical findings and conclusions were based on source analysis of magazines, textbooks and educational guides as well as on articles from pedagogical, family, women’s and socio-literary press. The time frames cover the period from the end of the XVIIIth century till the end of the XXth century. At the background of the conception of family education formulated in pedagogical press, the author presented also recommendations for organization of home education, which was implemented on the grounds of the family.
