Abstract

Aphasia is a speech disorder involving a total or partial loss of the ability to communicate verbally with the environment. Its main causes are strokes, craniocerebral injuries, and brain tumors. The available publications focus primarily on presenting methods of diagnosing aphasia, methods of conducting speech therapy and presenting methods of improving language skills. However, there are no publications presenting methods of motivating patients to participate in therapy when it does not bring tangible results. The article shows the possibility of using religious inspiration in speech therapy for people with aphatic speech disorders, and also draws attention to the need for sensitivity in the process of religious communication. The category of physical compassion can play a special role in a world dominated by digital media and communication technologies.
