Abstract

In the context of food production and consumption, sustainability plays a key role in ensuring food security and reducing the negative impact of food production on the environment. Climate change, human population growth and degradation of natural resources, require the implementation of modern agricultural technologies, sustainable production practices and consumer education activities. Integrated strategies involving technological innovation, responsible resource management and global cooperation can contribute to the transformation of the food system. Actions taken should focus on improving agricultural productivity, reducing food waste and promoting a plant-based diet as an alternative to high-emission animal products.
