The purpose of this article is to briefly describe the activities of Muslim organizations in the United States in the past and today. Thus, it showed both the positive aspects of their functioning as well as the problems they had to deal with in particular decades. As noted in the text, despite sometimes difficult periods in the functioning of these organizations, many of them operate to this day. Many Muslim organizations in the US have experienced minor or major splits within their religious community. In this context, the profiles of such important figures for American Muslims as: Malcolm X, Elijah, or Fard, who were the initiators of various splits in their religious circles, were also included. But despite breaking up the unity of their groups, they became, as it later turned out, religious leaders gifted with authority and respect for a number of reasons.
