A safe city, an open city – analysis of the level of socio-economic security of selected cities

One of the key aspects of human quality of life is the sense of security. It has a social dimension, as the inhabitants of cities and towns feel safer when they can meet their social needs, are not at risk of poverty, homelessness, high risk of job loss, and they are provided with basic support in the senior period and during illness. The article will carry out a multifaceted analysis of the sense of socio-economic security of the inhabitants of sixty-six cities. The analysis will use indicators from public statistics, which will allow to create the Index of City Openness and Safety. The group indicators included in the Index will focus on public, communication and socio-economic security.
