Abstract

The article analyses the mutual relations between human rights and human security. Based on the analysis of the literature on the subject, four ways of recognizing the relationships were discussed: human rights define human security, human rights and human security are interdependent, complementary and mutually reinforcing, human security expands human rights, and there is an antagonism between human security and human rights. The article's structure corresponds to the research goals: discussing the development of the concept of human security, reflecting human rights in the security of an individual, and showing a diversified approach to the relationship between human rights and human security.
