Abstract

In the second decade of the 21st century, there was a significant decline in the importance of the printed press, that could be observed on the regional media market in Poland/Polish regional media market. The crisis expressed itsself by: decreasing importance and very high drops in sales of regional dailies. In the years 2010-2020, the average decline in sales copy of printed editions of regional dailies in Poland exceeded to 78%. One of the ways to limit the effects of the decreasing importance of the printed press was an investment in the development of e-press. However, based on sales data, there could be a conclusion that the development of electronical releases of regional dailies expanded the offer of regional press publishers, but it did not made an impact  on the importance of regional dailies and did not compensate the declines in sales of printed editions.
