Abstract

Homogeneity and heterogeneity of the contemporary world in all its areas strongly interpenetrate, remaining in a specific correlation. The effects of this interaction can be observed in the location itself and the economic entities locating within it, as well as in the process of globalization. Glocalization primarily connects two concepts: globalization and localization, which can be reduced to the mutual penetration and interaction of global and regional markets. Glocalization in the literature is analyzed on multiple levels, including social, economic, and cultural. The authors of the study pose several fundamental research questions related to the assessment of globalization through the prism of local community development: how it is understood and whether its processes can be utilized for the development of local communities. The study on the impact of globalization on the ideology of localism was conducted in the second quarter of 2023 based on a survey questionnaire comprising a total of 31 questions. The research was conducted among a group of 350 working-age individuals from the Podkarpackie and Małopolskie voivodeships.
