The article discusses selected factors of urban neighborhood functionality, with a particular emphasis on the shopping needs of the residents of Rzeszów. The chosen indicators determine the usability of urban settlements and, in turn, impact the quality of life in the city. The research aimed to identify the functionality level of urban settlements in Rzeszów, considering the local community’s daily shopping activity. Using data related to four types of points of interest (POIs), indicators and rankings were determined to allow a comparison of 33 Rzeszow neighborhoods. The study reveals that the most functional neighborhoods for the selected POIs are in the city center. Conversely, the least functional neighborhoods are the new settlements, which were incorporated into the city relatively recently and still need to develop urban functions.
