Abstrakt

The review of Delusions of Gender: The Real Science Behind Sex Differences by Cordelia Fine presents the author’s attempt to interpret the intricacies of the scientific literature related to the relationship between the mutual influence of culture and biology (especially neurobiology) on the creation of gender differences. Cordelia Fine pays attention to the lack of conclusive research on differences between the sexes and reveals probable causes of still strong gender stereotyping such as socio-cultural beliefs, neurosexism and unfavorable conditions for gender equal education.
