Aims and Scope
“Tematy i Konteksty” is a scientific journal in the field of the humanities (disciplines: literary studies and Polish philology). We publish articles devoted to the most important topics in literary and Polish studies, contributing to key debates in contemporary humanities. The journal's approach encompasses the history, theory, and anthropology of literature. Our main focus are articles on literary works: their topology and poetics, their entanglement in various cultural contexts, and their multiple institutional connections. We publish research papers employing diverse methodologies and reflecting different intellectual sensibilities. The journal also aims to follow new academic publications and document important initiatives in Polish studies, both in Poland and abroad. Each issue is dedicated to a specific theme, but we also accept valuable articles and reviews unrelated to the leading topic of the issue. We invite contributions from literary scholars, representatives of other fields in the humanities, as well as writers and literary critics.
