The article presents activities aimed at developing society’s digital competences. These competences are developed in the form of trainings carried out in well-equipped locations that are adapted for spending free time. Trainings are run by qualified staff. This task can be successfully undertaken by Municipal Local Government Cultural Institutions, where residents can develop their interests, acquire new skills and competences needed nowadays. All generations are able to meet there. People providing educational activities are required to possess substantive and methodological qualifications enabling to share knowledge and skills in the digital environment in order to implement this important social mission. Thanks to this initiative, it is possible to provide children, adolescents and adults with appropriate conditions to develop their competencies that are expected in modern life.
