Abstract

Vocational education in primary schools and training through the development of polytechnic education is currently on the course of the day. The national project with the working title WORKSHOP is focused on developing job skills of primary school pupils and one of its main goals is to find and work with talented pupils. The articles illustrate the tradition of competitions that were as well organized in Slovakia and try to motivate pupils to deal with technology and find it in their application and professional orientation. One of the competition, which has the same objective is the Technical Olympiad, which will conclude the fifth annual nationwide round of Nitra.
