The format of the journal
      Tematy i Konteksty is a scientific journal in the area of humanities (disciplines: literature studies, culture studies). It addresses the most significant issues related to literature studies and participates in crucial debates of the modern-day humanities. A literary work is placed in the centre of attention: its topology and poetics, its relations with various cultural contexts, as well as diverse institutional connections. These issues are studied by means of varied methodologies and presented from the perspectives of distinct sensitivities.  
      The intended format of the journal encompasses both the history and the theory (or rather theories), as well as anthropology of literature, in short – literary and cultural studies in their broad sense. We also wish to follow the latest scientific publications and to document important initiatives related to the Polish philology, both in Poland and abroad.
      We seek cooperation with literary scholars, representatives of other areas of humanities, as well as writers and literary critics.
