“Safety” is a concept used by most people, but without an adjective it is a theoretical catego-ry, multiple and multi-aspect understood. Security is the state of no threats. From the point of view of the security of the state as the security of its individual citizens, an important element are the digital competences of citizens, which should constitute the basic barrier against digital threats. Information culture – its development is one of the main aims of education in the field of broadly understood issues of information and communication technologies, at all levels (stages) of educat-ing the day of the information society. The issues of culture presented in the analysis as elements of security, including the states of security, constitute a fragment of a broader research on: “Social and cultural aspects of the quality of life and human work safety”.Downloads
