Abstract

The most sensory method of perceiving reality is vision. Image, depiction and sight are omnipresent characteristics of the process thanks to which most of the people see the world. In the last several decades we are observing an unparalleled saturation with visual depictions. An implication of such state is continuous interaction with the world mainly through images. Introduction of the subject in the literature, the term “ocularcentrism”, connotations of meaning are assigned to the central position of the visual sphere.
