The 21st century is an epoch that is characterized by fast development of digital technology, which is an important element of everyday life and work in the information society. Multimedia are also an important tool in education and upbringing of young generation, children at the preschool and early school age, who are more and more frequently called cyber-children to underline the role of technology in their lives. This article presents results of the studies that aimed at defining place and role of multimedia applications in life of children at the early school age. It focuses mainly on types of tools that are accessible for children and their use.Downloads
