Abstract

Training in Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) in today's society is legitimate. European Union pays great attention to the OSH issues. Besides creating a favorable social environment and awareness of compliance with OSH standards, it is important to create the vital platform in the public education system for training of highly qualified experts. At the universities in Slovakia there has been built a system of professional training of specialists in the field. The paper informs on the orientation of Slovak universities on issues of education and training in the field of OSH.
