The psychological benefits resulting from the realization of project „First pupils’ experience as the road towards knowledge”

The aim of this article was to present the research on psychological benefits coming from the programme „Pupil’s first experience as the road towards knowledge” that was carried out at primary schools. The research was mainly focused on parental awareness of pupils’ educational needs and abilities.
The results show that the implementation of the project results in greater awareness of needs and abilities of children amongst parents. Furthermore, parents of pupils from classes taking part in the project notice more changes in the level of empathy, assertiveness, openness and initiatives among their children than parents of children who did not participate in it. The former have also relatively greater knowledge about the development of children’s intelligence and abilities.
