This article is focused on the Slovak translation of Veronika Gogola's Ufo over Bratislava in the Slovak context. Attention was given to the information available on the websites of the Polish Czarne Publishing House, where the original book came out, and the Slovak Absinthe Publishing House, where the translation was published. The information presenting the book and the author's notes on the publisher's website were compared. The role of the "Absinth" publishing house in popularising the genre of reportage in Slovakia, especially through its translations of books from the Polish school of reportage, is emphasised. In addition, the author of the article compares the graphic side of the covers of the original and the translation, and points out the additional elements in the Slovak edition: the introduction to the Slovak edition and the acknowledgements. She then describes the footnotes of the translator Alexander Horák and the author of the collection of reportages herself. In addition, the reception of Ufo nad Bratislavou in Poland is presented, in order to describe more extensively the reception of the translation of Ufo nad Bratislavou in Slovakia.
