Mobile Application Programming in Educational Mechatronic Projects

The paper presents practical aspects of designing mobile applications in educational mechatronic systems. Selected problems of the methodology and programming tools supporting the programming of mobile applications are analyzed. The MIT App Inventor graphical environment is characterized and the possibilities of learning to program mobile applications are analyzed and assessed. The methodology of designing applications is described using the example of an educational mobile robot. The summary indicates the MIT App Inventor environment as the leading tool for learning programming.
