Abstract

This article discusses the issues related to the demand of the job market for computer scien-tists and to the methods of education of such in the Polish system of education. Actual and ex-pected demands are analyzed that consider both European and Polish job markets. The qualifica-tions needed by the employers are compared with the educational offers of schools. Problems related to the need of acquisition of complex, specialized knowledge by the future computer scien-tists are pointed out, as well as the required intellectual capabilities. Recruitment systems are discussed, including salary systems in the IT companies, large corporations, private and national companies, as well as government and self-government administration. The mutual relations are rated that emerge from the need of the professional computer scientists and the reality of the edu-cation practice.
