The paper presents the analysis of the process of solving a problem using eyetracking technology. The research participants were 16-year-old students, graduating from middle school. The subject of the analysis was to compare the eye parameters, such as dwell time, revisits and number of fixations, registered in two groups of students, those who are gifted in science and who have difficulties in this area. The chosen reasons for success in solving the problem were distinguished. Research results show that the way of reading the wording of the problem directly affected the quality of its solution.Downloads
