Abstract

The idea of building European information society was presented in the Lisbon Strategy project. The strategy identifies the special impact of educational reforms on the development of information society. The issues concerning desirable changes in education was specified in one’s own research studies for diagnosing the content of school information services in Zagłębie Dąbrowskie area. The research findings constitute the evaluation of WWW services in the form of ranking indicating involvement of schools in implementation of the Lisbon Strategy idea. The school information services in the examined region meet merely the basic objectives of the assumed strategy. They require further work and development with the purpose of their full adoption to challenges posed before contemporary information society.
