The purpose of this article is to present the process of designing and constructing a research model that demonstrates the operation of mechanical gears. The project was carried out inde-pendently using commonly available materials, such as wood, and basic assembly elements. The main objective of the work was to understand the operating principles of mechanical gears, ana-lyze the methods of rotary motion transmission, and demonstrate the potential of using structural models in technical education, particularly at the early school education level. The article discusses the basic types of mechanical gears, their applications in daily life, and the subsequent stages of the project’s implementation. It also presents the problems encountered during the construction of the model and the conclusions drawn from the observations.
