The aim of this research paper is to present results of selected motives given by secondary schools graduates who wished to pursuit further education at the University level on the example of the Matej Bela University in Banska Bystrica in Slovakia and the University of Rzeszów in Poland. Various aspects have been taken into considerations such as personal interests, interests in the field of study, the quality of life after graduation, being offered a good job after graduation, peer and environment pressure, and the will to ‘stay young’.Downloads
