Abstract

In the contemporary world there are a lot of fast changes linked to the development of technology and increasing society expectations. It requires critical thinking skills in a situation where the number of information that we reach is growing in an incredibly fast pace. One of the ways to educate students in the field of understanding of the scientific and civilizational issues are classes relying on own searching of response and critical thinking. The research relied on organization of interdisciplinary educational workshops for primary school students. The main aim was to diagnose students' attitudes towards the improvement of technical skills and making responsible proenvironmental decisions in everyday life. It turned out that the workshops allow students to develop scientific thinking during environmental and manual-technical activities in the school and after-school area.
