Abstract

Technological developments throughout history have led to an increase in the number of new technical terms that are constantly being incorporated into not only specialist vocabulary, but alsotechnicalterms that peopleuse on adaily basis. As a result, specialist technical terms have become an indispensable component of everyday language. It is also believed that technology is the greatest driving force behind language development. This research paper presents the resultsofthe pilotresearch on the knowledge of technical terms by students of secondary schools.
