Abstract

This article is an attempt to present educational condition of school in perspective of cultural and civilizational transformations, with special consideration of postmodern times. This is also a look on historical development of axiology and teleology of school in process of changing attitudes and orientations in philosophy, anthropology and pedagogy. The main aspect of consideration is school crisis and its role in shaping norms of social co-existence and interpersonal ethics norms in local and global world. The author presents reasons, symptoms and dangers caused by dehumanization of human co- existence and disregard of universal values, which come from humanistic anthropology. The main topic of article is reference to basis of humanistic anthropology in upbringing process. The author presents thesis concerning the need of basic reconstruction of activity of school, which is the environment shaping human values. This thesis should be in opposition to anti-values spreading in more and more „dehumanized” world. The article is also an attempt to depict main demands of upbringing anthropology of modern school.
